HLI was invited to execute a project at the Górka Cement facility in Trzebinia. Our challenge was to comprehensively design and supply a system for the replacement of the kiln ring along with the sub-ring carga of a rotary kiln. The experienced HLI team ensured smooth execution of the operation, and the transport system prepared for this task performed flawlessly, enabling the safe and seamless movement of the 35-ton ring with its carga.
Scope of Work
- Component weight: 35 tons,
- Lifting height: 5 m
- Design of the installation concept,
- Design, supply, and installation of temporary structures,
- Supply of Strand Jacking technology and other hydraulic systems for horizontal adjustments of the transported element,
- Supply of modular structural systems,
- Comprehensive horizontal and vertical transport services.

Step 1
Installation of rails and the transport trolley under the old shell, lowering the cut shell onto the trolley bed.

Step 2
Moving the shell outside the furnace outline and installing the rail system and the frame with wire rope actuators around the shell.

Step 3
Lifting the shell using wire rope actuators, moving it over the rails leading to the exit gate, and lowering the shell onto the rails.

Step 4
Removal of the old shell from the building and placement of the new shell onto the transport trolley using a crane.

Step 5
Moving the new shell under the frame with wire rope actuators, lifting it from the floor, and transporting it near the assembly location.

Step 6
Lowering the shell onto the rails leading to the furnace outline and dismantling the frame with wire rope actuators, then positioning it to allow a 5 mm welding gap using hydraulic actuators.
