Erection of the TWS Flue Stack – FGD System, Ostrołęka B

HLI was commissioned to provide comprehensive support for the execution of the TWS flue stack erection as part of the construction of a new Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) system in Ostrołęka. The stack, with a total height of 100 m and a total weight of 106 tonnes, consists of 19 individual segments. For their installation, our company designed, supplied, and assembled all required supporting structures, including transport cages, travel platforms, and associated auxiliary systems. All works were carried out under the strict supervision of RAFAKO S.A. and ENERGA S.A., and were subject to verification and approval by the Office of Technical Inspection (UDT).

Scope of Works

  • Total weight of lifted structure: 106 tonnes,
  • Lifting height: 130 m,
  • Design of temporary structures for vertical and horizontal transportation, including supply and installation,
  • Design and supply of a cross lifting beam (spreader beam),
  • Provision of Strand Jacking technology,
  • Comprehensive installation of temporary structures and the Strand Jacking system,
  • Mandatory acceptance procedures and certification (UDT) of the lifting system,
  • Comprehensive service for stack erection and stabilization.
