HLI was requested to support the lifting operation of pressure components—superheater modules—during the construction of two new HRSG units in Mintia, Romania. Our scope included the installation and operation of 33 strand hydraulic jacks, each with a unit capacity ranging from 700 to 2,000 kN.
Scope of Work
- Total lifted weight: 3,600 tons,
- Lifting height: 45 m,
- Installation and reinstallation of the supplied lifting system,
- Comprehensive incremental lifting service.
Step 1
Installation of the hydraulic actuator system along with the necessary accessories, as well as installation of the lifting lines with load-transferring anchors.
Step 2
Transport of the first superheater package using an SPMT platform and lifting of the first superheater package.
Step 3
Transport of the next superheater package using an SPMT platform. Lowering of the first package and installation of the connecting elements between the packages.
Step 4
Lifting the three-line package assemblies to the same elevation one by one, then lifting all packages together and connecting them to the boiler’s supporting structure using dedicated pins.
Step 5
Height adjustment based on geodetic measurements and reinstallation of the system on the second unit.
